  • The REAP-IR optimizes the SWAP mind set with its small packaging combined with it's lightweight features. When you need a thermal weapon sight that fits perfectly on a tactical rifle look no further as the REAP-IR will deliver. The REAP-IR system is powered by the new BAE Systems MicroIR thermal core that uses the latest 12 micron sensor technology. Now you can have a 60hz frame rate with increased magnification all in a compact military grade package. The REAP-IR has all the features and performance of the IR HUNTER Mark Ill and the size and weight factor of the IR PATROL. The REAP-IR truly is the best of both systems incorporating a 12° degree field-of-view lens with the new stadiametric range finder. Having 2.5x magnification combined with the 640x480 resolution 12um micron LWIR thermal core in the small tactical package makes the REAP-IR ideal for Special Operations, Tactical Teams, border security, and night hunters. Every REAP-IR has a 60hz fast frame rate at no addition cost. The fast frame rate will be very useful for leading a shot of a fast moving target. The REAP-IR integrates several new features such as multiple reticle save locations so you can mount the sight on different weapons and keep your reticle position. It has the new digital read-out on the reticle adjustment screen giving you information on exactly how many clicks you have adjusted the system. With 5 different reticle patterns you can find the best fit for your application. And to finish off the REAP-IR we have added a flip-up lens cap, Mini D-LOC Rail Mount and a battery extender to every mini thermal sight. Imagery Detailed Reticles The REAP-IR provides you with the most clear reticles and symbols. Not only do we have the clearest image but we are doing this with MOA accuracy. Mini DLOC Mount The DLOC-IRD true return to zero quick release mount is a miniaturized and skeletonized variation of the very popular A4S DLOC line of optics and accessory mounts. The DLOC-IRD quick release mount is the only TRUE return to zero mount available for the IR Patrol M300w. The DLOC-IRD also grabs more rail than competing mounts, and the DLOC patented design makes it the most accurate quick release mount on the market. The DLOC-IRD can be used across multiple platforms including mil-spec, and out of spec picatinny rails without the need to adjust for tension. If you have ever wanted to move your IR Patrol on and off your weapon without the need to re-zero then this is the mount for you. With the DLOC-IRD you can now maintain true accuracy. Stadiametric Rangefinder The REAP-IR's stadiametric rangefinder uses a system of reticle lines with adjustable angular spacing to quickly and easily dial in on a target's distance. The REAP-IR's stadiametric rangefinding system allows you to select your target's height or width then adjust a set of reticle bars to contain your target's height or width. The REAP-IR will then give you a corresponding distance readout. Stadiametric rangefinding is widely used in long-range military sniping and is faster than laser range-finding techniques. Electronic laser rangefinders can also give away a shooters position, but a stadiametric rangefinding system is completely covert Weather Even in adverse weather conditions such as rain and fog the REAP-IR will still detect and identify a target. The image above was captured in dense fog with over 95% humidity. Edge Detection Mode The REAP-IR has an Edge Detection feature that produces an entirely different new way of viewing your target. Edge Detect mode is also a fraction of the brightness of other modes so your eyes are not as prone to night blindness after coming off the scope. There are certain tactical situations that require your display to me very dim so as not to be detected, and to reduce night blindness after coming off of your eye piece. The REAP-IR has an advanced feature that has been used on certain high end military thermal sights for years. Edge Detect gives you an entirely different way to view your target, with 90% of the screen black, and only the edges surrounding your target white. This is an extremely useful feature and is not found on any other commercially available thermal weapon sights.
    Reticle Position Read Outs
    X/Y location will give you a simple X and Y value for as many locations as you need. This means that you can set up a REAP-IR on as many weapon systems as you want and always maintain a return to zero.
    MAXPOL Polarity - White Hot/Black Hot Most thermal weapon sights come with only one level of white hot and black hot. Some come with color pallets, but the majority of users find themselves using black hot and white hot exclusively. Rather than giving you color pallets that you will most likely never use, IR Defense designed the IR Hunter with 3 levels of white hot, and 3 levels of black hot. This allows you to choose the perfect level of polarity in the white hot or black hot modes for any situation.
    ETR - Enhanced Target Recognition The IR Hunter features an extremely beneficial technology called Enhanced Target Recognition, or ETR. Most thermal systems auto adjust the image contrast and brightness across the entire display screen. This can lead to washed out image around the crosshair or for a majority of the display area. ETR selects the are on the display to adjust leaving you with a perfectly adjusted image.
    DFC - Digital Focus Control Digital focus control allows you to not only focus your picture to the optimum setting, but it also allows sharpening of the entire picture.
  • The MK III uses a 12 Micron BAE Micro core and a menu level system in conjunction with turrets to make operation intuitive and fast. The IR Hunter can be set to 30hz or 60hz, has a built in auto-dimmer, image capture, edge detect mode and more. The BAE 12 micron imagery is truly amazing and produces some of the most crisp thermal images ever seen on the commercial market. The MK III also has dynamic reticles so they keep proper ballistic calculations on every zoom level.     Image Capture The MK III has an image capture function that allows a user to capture a full-frame image from the 12 micron BAE core. When downloaded these images do not include the icons seen through the eye piece of a MK III, but they do give a great representation of the true image quality seen through the eye piece.

    Edge Detect - Tactical Mode There are certain tactical situations that require your display to me very dim so as not to be detected, and to reduce night blindness after coming off of your eye piece. The IR Hunter MK III has an advanced feature that has been used on certain high end military thermal sights for years. Edge Detect gives you an entirely different way to view your target, with 90% of the screen black, and only the edges surrounding your target white. This is an extremely useful feature and is not found on any other commercially available thermal weapon sights.IR Hunter Menu Operation The IR Hunter MK III has 3 turret controls that operate the menu levels and functions. The turret controls operate the menu icons corresponding to their location(top turret operates the top menu icons etc). The menu levels are numbered from 1-8 and each level has different functions. Level 1 controls the 6 polarity settings, edge detect and digital zoom. Level 2 controls contrast and digital focus control(DFC). Level 3 controls calibration and brightness. Level 4 controls reticle selection and adjusts the rangefinder. Level 5 controls windage and elevation adjustments, Level 6 controls image capture and Enhanced Target Recognition(ETR) Level 7 allows you to review captured images. Level 8 controls the reticle lock, framerate(30hz or 60hz), video output, symbol sleep mode, startup settings, battery settings,display auto dimmer, deleting captured images, reticle location(A.B,C,D) and horizontal and vertical rangefinder units.Video Output The IR Hunter features a high end mil-spec Fischer connector. This connector costs much more than connectors on competing scopes, but IR Defense decided to choose a video connection option that will last under harsh environments and years of abuse. Video cables and connector quality is very important both in tactical and hunting/recreational situation. One flaw in a cable can leave you wishing you had your kill shot on video. We have a high quality custom video cable for the IR Hunter MK III that connects the MK III directly to a mini DVR. These cables are rugged and built to last.

  • The Trail XP50 is the thermal scope that night hunters have been waiting for. Drawing from years of user feedback, extensive product development and field testing the Trail XP50 is Pulsar's top-of-the-line thermal weapon sight. The XP50 is notable for many reasons but most importantly the Trail XP50 offers an industry first feature set - 640x480 sensor resolution with shuttered NUC, on-board recording, picture in picture, one shot zero, rechargeable batteries, and much much more. The Trail XP50 has a long list of built-in features that are sure to impress but also work to the users advantage. This scope was designed with hunting in mind. At the heart of the Trail XP series is a 640x480 uncooled microbolometer(thermal sensor) 640x480px, at 17 µm, for highly detailed imaging. The Trail's heat sink, located on the device's body, reduces heat build-up from the core and other components while also significantly reducing temperature and noise sensitivity, especially between calibrations. Trail models include variable magnification, up to 8x depending on model, and feature both 2x step-up and smooth, graduated magnification for a truly optimum, customized field of view.

    High recoil resistance rating
    The Trail features exceptionally high shock resistance, capable of handling high-powered firearm recoil, up to .375-cal., including smoothbore and airsoft.
    3 Zeroing Profiles/15 Distances
    Save three individual firearm/ammunition zeroing profiles, including different reticles, at up to five distances, in the Trail’s memory. Zoom zeroing support ensures precise zeroing accuracy.
    14 Electronic Reticles
    Trail series features 14 reticle patterns, 2 colors(black and white) and 10 brightness settings. Each reticle is detailed with corresponding MOA values that are intended for use on 1X digital zoom.
    Picture-in-Picture mode
    Picture-in-Picture improves accuracy by providing a magnified image of the reticle area at the top of the display. With only 1/10 of the display area reserved for PiP, the field of view remains virtually unobstructed for simultaneous PiP and FOV viewing.
    Built-in video recording
    Capturing still images and video is seamless with the Trail’s built-in video recorder. Image and video content is stored internally and can easily be transferred to PC/laptop via wired connection or Wi-Fi.
    Mobile-friendly (iOS, Android) with remote control and live internet streaming
    The highlight of the Trail is the ability to link via Wi-Fi the device with Android and iOS based mobile units using the free mobile application Stream Vision. The Stream Vision software connects the device with Android/iOS mobile unit (smartphone or tablet) which enables you to receive footage in the real time mode, to distantly operate the device with your smartphone, as well to stream online the image captured by the device to Youtube.
    Built-in accelerometer / gyroscope
    A built-in accelerometer/gyroscope improves accuracy by precisely identifying cant and angles greater than 5° with an arrow indicating the direction and degree of lateral tilting. Increased angles are denoted with additional arrows.Moreover, the riflescope can be set to auto shutdown when resting in a non-shooting position. Unit operation may be disabled when the vertical angle is greater than 70° or horizontal angle is greater than 30°. The accelerometer feature may be temporarily disabled for continued use at excessive angles.
    Quick-change B-Pack power units
    Trail includes a progressive autonomous B-Pack power supply consisting of a quick-detach, rechargeable IPS5, 5.2A-h battery pack designed to deliver over 8 hrs. of operation on maximum mode. Higher-powered IPS10 battery packs, as well as CR123A and AA battery cases, also are available and provide a perfect off-the-grid power solution.
    Stadiametric rangefinder
    Based on estimated heights of observed objects, the stadiametric rangefinding reticle makes determining precise distances fast, easy, reliable and repeatable.
    Fully waterproof
    IPX7 waterproof-rated protection ensures the Trail performs perfectly in wet weather, even during intense rain, snowfall and submersion in 3 ft. of water for up to 30 min. (IEC 60529).
